Music Lessons

Justin’s most diligent work is his passion in teaching music. He is a natural teacher with a graduate degree in pedagogy and a long history of working with children. Justin has taught many different instruments throughout the years. He mostly teaches piano but also teaches accordion, music theory, and improvisation. His teaching studio is very active and takes new students on a case by case basis. Students will have recitals twice a year (May/June and December) and occasional volunteer opportunities. Justin encourages all ages and backgrounds in his teachings.

Justin takes pride in researching how to teach different styles and knows hundreds of method books in music. Justin believes in a well rounded student that learns by reading staff, developing ear training, and memorizing repertoire. When working with Justin, you will get a teacher that cares with custom lessons rather than someone who makes you learn one method page by page. He combines his unique approach of rigid traditional music training with his application of performing pop, rock, and folk songs in his gig life. He makes a point to keep up with technology to provide top service online lessons. Justin also works very well with adult students, as he began his training when he was 22.
